Advanced Analytics Young Professional Programme

The position

Rabobank is looking for quantitative top talents to join Rabobank’s modelling teams.

As a modelling team member you will gain an in-depth understanding of various risk management areas (e.g. ALM, IFRS 9, credit management, model validation) and become an expert in one of these fields. By generating and sharing insights with the business, you will be responsible for enabling strategic and operational data-driven decision making. In this central role you will be able to make your mark straight away.

You will participate in our 18 month Advanced Analytics Young Professional Programme, which offers a competitive salary and fringe benefits. This programme, which you will start together with 15 talented and ambitious young professionals, is the ideal kick start of your career. You will be a full team member in one of the participating teams for the duration of the programme (e.g. Credit Modelling, Stress Testing, Model Validation, Data Analytics). During your assignments you will extend your analytical- and soft skills and compress years of industry experience. The exposure and relationships gained during the programme provide ample opportunity to advance your career within Rabobank after successfully completing the programme. Before long, you will create your own unique network within our diverse cooperation.

For this professional programme we have designed an extensive technical toolkit & soft skills training. Over the course of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from and meet senior leaders and network with colleagues and mentors.

As Young Professional, you will start in the CLR department of Rabobank (Compliance, Legal and Risk). Within CLR there are opportunities in credit modelling, compliance, ALM modelling and data analytics. The CLR department is responsible for the quantitative development of several model types from start to finish, data quality checks, analyses to create a new model, discuss the results with stakeholders inside and outside the bank (expert users, senior management and supervisors), correct implementation of the model in systems and regular monitoring of the model. 

Your profile

Your background 

  • Completed a Master or PhD in Econometrics/Mathematics/Physics or comparable
  • No more than 2 years of work experience
  • Affinity with finance and/or risk management
  • Interest in quantitative analyses and programming (e.g. Matlab, Python and SQL)
  • Living in the Netherlands
  • Your ambition is to play a key role in a dynamic environment of a large financial institution
