As an Investment & Portfolio Management trainee, you will have an opportunity to see multiple departments within APG’s front office over a two year period. There are opportunities within a broad range of asset classes including both Capital Markets and Alternative Investments. During your two year traineeship you will have three placements where you will spend time completing an assignment and learning how to invest. The range of possible assignments is vast and depends on the needs of the team, as well as your determination and innovative mindset. Besides working on your assignments and learning about investing, you will also work on your personal development. Asset management is one of APG’s business units. Our clients are central to our thoughts and actions. We have offices in four locations: Amsterdam, Heerlen, Hong Kong, and New York.


  • Master’s degree in a field related to Economics, Finance, Business, with outstanding study results;
  • A maximum of two years’ work experience;
  • Broad-ranging extra-curricular activities (e.g. committee or board membership, volunteer work);
  • Passion for investments and financial markets;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Energetic, ambitious, eager to learn, and innovative.

We will offer you a two-year contract with a € 3111 gross monthly salary (based on a 40-hour work week, excluding holiday pay and end-of-year bonus).
